The Clarksville Children's Theatre Organization (C.C.T.O.) has been developed to relieve the need of a community outreach program for the youth of the Montgomery County area by promoting, encouraging, and engaging in the development and advancement of theatre for youth within the community. Theatre and the Creative Arts can serve as an important educational tool for children from all economical and sociological backgrounds. It is the belief of C.C.T.O. that each child should receive equal opportunity to the exposure of the arts. C.C.T.O. will be focused on creating programs and productions that are community based to engage the local youth in the foundations of theatre and dance. It is C.C.T.O.'s belief that early exposure to the Creative Arts will increase a child's ability to relate to cognitive thinking, in addition to creating a more well-rounded adult with a greater appreciation for the melting pot of culture amidst this nation. C.C.T.O. will offer productions and workshops available to local schools, learning centers, libraries, hospitals, and other facilities, dedicated to the service of children. It is the future goal of C.C.T.O. to provide theatre and dance classes for home-schooled children in addition to after school programs for our community's youth. The organization ultimately seeks to provide scholarship programs for students who are under-privileged or those with special needs. Check out our upcoming productions under "What are we doing?"!
